You can get involved with our events in many different ways – you can attend our dinners or BBQs, visit our stall on fairs or simply become one of us and helps us organise events and fundraise. Become a Volunteer
Children of Latin America is looking for volunteers with different professional backgrounds as well as students or anyone who has time and commitment to help children in Latin America. We love people who want to get involved. We try and do as much as possible to raise funds, and we are excited by the ideas people out there have.

General FUND-RAISING Volunteers
Opportunity details:
We’re looking for energetic and enthusiastic people to help organise and run a range of different fundraising events, including Richmond May Fair, Christmas Fundraising Dinner, Salsa Summer BBQ Party and car boot sales. It is not only that you will help raising money for the charity but also you will assist us in raising awareness of the Children of Latin America’s mission.
You’ll help the fundraising team to:
- Finding raffle or auction prices
- Promoting events to your friends, family, and colleagues
- Supporting an event: setting up and clearing the site after the event, dress in costume, selling raffle prices, selling items at stall, talk to people about our charity’s mission and aims and bring in more ideas on organising an event

Grants Coordinator
Purpose of this role:
We are looking for someone who can identify potential grants and funding opportunities from a range of areas including both small and large funding opportunities and approach the major grant giving bodies. You will need to be able to prepare applications for funding and prepare proposals and bids. You will liaise extensively with the academies to identify funding requirements. In addition to identify funding opportunities you will also need to record all information and generate reports to monitor progress and outcomes.
It is favourable if you have previous experience of developing, writing and submitting grant proposals. You must have a good understanding of the non- statutory fundraising side and have the ability to deal with multiple proposals at any one time.
Person Specifications:
- Strong written capability with a proven track record for writing successful bids and tenders. It would be highly advantageous for the chosen candidate to have knowledge of fundraising and gratns managment.
- Flexible, problem-solving team-player with excellent communication skills
- You will need to be capable of working autonomously, and managing your workload whilst working under minimal supervision
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential attributes for this role, as is an analytical manner
- Knowledge of the charity sector would be a great advantage
- Excellent negotiating skills
